We help each client select the most effective filing strategy based on the client’s trademark protection needs and budget and then guide the client through the registration process.
For trademarks within the EU, KIPA files European Community Trade Mark (CTM) applications with the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM). We prosecute these applications by responding to official objections and third party oppositions to obtain registered CTMs that are valid in all member states of the EU. This method of obtaining trademark protection is cost-effective because a single application can lead to EU-wide protection.
KIPA also works through an extensive, carefully vetted network of trademark specialists outside the EU to obtain trademark protection in other countries. In this way, KIPA has secured registered trademarks for our clients in almost every country in the world.
