Maria started as a patent administrator in 1995 working for the patent department at Ericsson. She quickly realized that patent administration involved the challenges she was looking for in her professional life. Having left Ericsson in 1999, she has since worked at several Swedish patent agencies, gaining experience of different patent databases as well as different approaches on how patent work is performed. Maria’s main focus has always been working closely with clients, attorneys, colleagues at patent offices as well as fellow paralegals. Her most recent experience was as a team manager for an international paralegal team focusing on cross-border collaboration. Maria has a passion for sharing knowledge and discuss patent administrative related issues and she was happy to accept the opportunity to make a presentation at the EPO User Day in 2022, commenting the implementation of the Online filing 2.0.
